About Valerie Dixon

Valerie Dixon, B.A., M.Ed., CTPD, President, Learnware Design Inc., is a leading expert in the field of Training and Development.  She loves learning and helping others learn faster, better and smarter.

She has over 37 years experience in all aspects of training needs analysis and training design. She is also a skilled facilitator of human resource development programs.

She has held various training and development leadership positions within the insurance, finance and retail sectors. She was Director of Personnel Development for American Express, responsible for the design and delivery of all technical and management training. She was a Training Consultant with TD Price Waterhouse before establishing her own consulting practice. 

During her career she has designed and developed technical and management training programs, managed training designers and major training design projects and facilitated the successful implementation of training initiatives within the private and public sectors. She provides clients with innovative, custom-designed solutions to meet their organization’s training needs.

Valerie has a B.A in English and Psychology from the University of Toronto and a Masters Degree in Adult Education (M.Ed.) from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (O.I.S.E.).
